On the image attached one may see the receptor antibody layer, formed on the mica substrate.

Preliminary sample was processed with aminopropyl-silatrane, then some bovine serum albumine was added. Such flat layer of immobilized antibodies is expected to be used in detection of the specific act of binding antigen-antibody. Formation of such receptor layer is necessary for the detection of prostate-specific antigen's concentration, which by itself is one of the main issues in prostate cancer diagnostics.Image of fragmenting mitochondrial cristae on graphite surface.
